Our Board of Trustees

is responsible for the governance of Red2Green, ensuring that it is run safely and effectively. It delegates day to day running of the organisation to our  CEO Jackie Fernandez.
Jane Miller - Chair Jane worked for adult social care for many years, working closely with the voluntary sector. She enjoys being active, involvement in the local community and her family.

Roger Crabtree - Vice Chair Roger was HR Director for one of the international divisions of Philips Electronics. After leaving Philips, he set up a consultancy in HR and organisational development. He was a non executive director in the NHS for 10 years and Chair of Governors at Long Road 6th Form College from 1993 to 2000. He has lived in Cambridge for 40 years, raising 3 daughters and now enjoying 10 grandchildren.

Jenny Greene - Jenny had a long career with social services in Cambridgeshire and latterly led a team commissioning services for people with learning disabilities and particularly promoting the development of services in the not for profit sector. Following retirement, she worked in Oxford and North East London assisting with joint commissioning and reviewing services. For 6 years she was a non executive director on the board of Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. She is involved in housing and care for older people with the Abbeyfield Society

Peter Hains - Peter was instrumental in setting up Red2Green during his time as Head of Bottisham Village College. When he left Bottisham, he set up the new secondary school in the Hamptons, Peterborough and then advised on the new sceondary school in Cambourne.

Tony Kirk - Treasurer Tony is a qualified accountant who recently left his previous employer after 35 years in order to enjoy a more relaxed pace of life. He now works as a consultant and on short term contracts in finance and system implementation. He lives in Newmarket with his family.

Fred Peeling - Fred was assistant head at Bottisham Village College with responsibility for community education until retirement in 2003 and then he was one of the "founding fathers" of Red2Green. During his 16 years in community education, he established many courses and activities for people with special needs and actively supported the integration of people with disabilities into the wider community.

Ruth Rogers - Ruth worked in the voluntary sector in Cambridgeshire for twenty years before her retirement in 2015. Her last job was Chief Executive of Red2Green and she was delighted to return as a trustee. Beside her "day job" Ruth also held a number of public sector roles as Chair of South Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust, an Independent member and then chair of Cambridgeshire Police Authority, and  as the first chair of Healthwatch Cambridgeshire. Although Ruth moved out of the county when she retired, she still has family in Cambridgeshire and loves the fact that she can combine Red2Green duties with being a grandmother.

Hobson Bullman -  Hobson works in operational management at Arm Limited, a global technology company which has its headquarters nearby.  He has also spent considerable time over the years volunteering with St John Ambulance, both delivering the service and in managerial roles. He joined the board of trustees in 2018
