Over the past two years Red2Green have been working hard to ensure that our services are Covid-secure in line with changing government guidelines so that we can provide support to you safely.

Changes to services

Options are running at Harvey's Barn and at our Bottisham site. Aspirations have classes at Harvey's Barn and Granary Barn.

The Café at our Bottisham site is closed until further notice. Plant sales are from a table near the lower gate so that the public does not come onto the site.

At Harvey's and Granary Barns only staff, those who attend our services or pre-arranged contractors are allowed in the building. We have fitted a lock so that we have to let people in.

Keeping you safe

Before you return to Red2Green staff will undertake a risk assessment with you, or with someone who knows you well

To keep contact to a minimum we have split our services so that contact with each other is restricted

Staff will be wearing facemasks and other PPE when necessary

We have a rigorous cleaning regime which includes cleaning during the day, daily cleaning tasks and weekly cleaning tasks. Click here to see our full cleaning regime

Hands are washed regularly. We have readily available sinks with disinfectant soap and we have lots of hand sanitiser.

Arrival

  • When you arrive at Red2Green a member of staff will meet you at the door. They will take your temperature
  • If this is 37.8°C or above, you will not be able to stay at Red2Green and will need to go straight home
  • They will then let you into your classroom and you will need to use hand sanitiser or wash your hands
  • Only clients and staff are allowed in the classrooms

During the day

  • When possible, you should be 2m away from other people at Red2Green – remember personal space. When this is not possible, we may ask you to sit ‘side by side’ or ‘back to back’ to other people
  • Everyone is encouraged to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds,
  • You should not touch your eyes, nose or mouth and to wash hands afterwards
  • You are not allowed into the kitchen
  • Your class will be allocated an area and a toilet
  • The front door will be locked and is the only way in and out
  • You must wash your clothes and wear fresh clothes the next day
  • When possible, we are keeping doors open for ventilation and so that you do not need to touch the door handles

Changes to activities

  • We will be planning as many outdoor activities as possible. So please bring a coat
  • You will have your own pack of equipment so that you do not need to share equipment
  • If you do need to share anything, we will have wipes to wipe it down in between.

On your first day back

  • We will go through a checklist with you and make sure you understand the rules
  • Do not worry about remembering them all, we have lots of signs and staff will point them out to you

If you feel unwell during the day

  • Tell a member of staff immediately
  • We will take your temperature
  • If you have a temperature of 37.8°C or above, or are coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes during the day, we will ask you to sit alone and we will contact someone to pick you up within an hour.
  • We ask that if at all possible, someone arranges for you to have a covid-19 test https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test

If you have covid-19 symptoms at home

If you have any of the following:
  • Temperature of 37.8°C or above or chills and shivering
  • Coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes during the day
  • Loss or change to sense of taste or sense of smell
  • A blocked or runny nose
You must not come to Red2Green and get someone to arrange for you to have a covid-19 test https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test
  • Please keep in contact with Red2Green and tell us how you are and the results of your test

If someone in your class has a positive Covid-19 test

  • We will contact you and tell you
  • We will be guided by Public Health and tell you if you need to stay at home
  • We will do a thorough deep clean

If someone you live with develops symptoms

Please tell us so that we can risk assess the people in your group, we may have to ask you to not come in but in general we follow these guidelines:
  • If you are fully vaccinated, you may attend Red2Green as long as you have had a negative LFD test that morning, and no covid symptoms. This applies for 10 days.
  • If you are not fully vaccinated please do not attend Red2Green.

Risk Assessments

We have a full risk assessment which you can find here

Cick here to see our risk assesment for cooking

We also undertake risk assessments for each person before they return to Red2Green. Some of our staff also have their own risk assessments.
