At Red2Green we have been working hard to ensure that our services are Covid-secure and that we can provide support to you in different ways.

Here we explain what we are doing:

Changes to services

Our services are beginning to reopen and we have been working with the local authority on who is returning. If you think you should be prioritised and we haven't contacted you please e-mail info@red2green.org

We are running a smaller Aspirations service and supplementing it with Aspirations:Online through Microsoft Teams

Options are running at Harvey's Barn and at our Bottisham site

The Cafe is closed, and plant sales are from a table near the lower gate so that the public does not come on to site

At Harvey's barn only staff and those who attend our services are allowed in the building. We have fitted a lock so that we have to let people in.

Keeping you safe

Before you return to Red2Green staff will undertake a risk assessment with you, or with someone who knows you well

To keep contact to a minimum we have split our services into bubbles which do not come into contact with each other

Staff will be wearing facemasks and face shields

Every day our vehicles will be disinfected using professional equipment

We have a rigorous cleaning regime which includes cleaning during the day, daily cleaning tasks and weekly cleaning tasks. Click here to see our full cleaning regime

Our buildings will be disinfected weekly using professional equipment

Hands are washed regularly. We have sinks in every room and we have lots of hand sanitiser

Arrival

  • You are allocated a time slot to arrive
  • When you arrive at Red2Green a member of staff will meet you in the car park. They will take your temperature
  • If this is 37.8°C or above, you will not be able to stay at Red2Green and will need to go straight home.
  • They will then let you into the building and you will need to use hand sanitiser or wash your hands
  • Only clients and staff are allowed in the building

Red2Green Transport

  • If you are collected by Red2Green transport, this will be arranged and staff from your bubble will collect you. They will take your temperature before you get on the bus. We will ask you to sit away from others
  • Staff will be wearing a face mask and may have some windows open
  • If you would like to wear a face covering please do so

During the day

  • When possible, you should be 2m away from other people at Red2Green – remember personal space. When this is not possible, we may ask you to sit ‘side by side’ or ‘back to back’ to other people
  • Everyone washes hands for at least 20 seconds, about every hour
  • You should not touch your eyes, nose or mouth and to wash hands afterwards
  • You are not allowed into the kitchen
  • Your bubble will be allocated an area and a toilet. You must stay in that area
  • The front door will be locked at the barn and is the only way in and out
  • You must wash your clothes and wear fresh clothes the next day
  • When possible, we are keeping doors open so that you do not need to touch the door handles

Lunchtime

  • You must bring your own packed lunch including utensils. You will take this home to wash.
  • You are not allowed in the kitchen

Changes to activities

  • We will be planning as many outdoor activities as possible. So please bring a coat
  • You will have your own pack of equipment so that you do not need to share equipment
  • If you do need to share anything, we will have wipes to wipe it down in between.
  • Unfortunately, we will no longer be singing or cooking

On your first day back

  • We will go through a checklist with you and make sure you understand the rules
  • Do not worry about remembering them all, we have lots of signs up and staff will point them out to you

If you feel unwell during the day

  • Tell a member of staff immediately
  • We will take your temperature
  • If you have a temperature of 37.8°C or above or are coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes during the day we will ask you to sit alone and we will contact someone to pick you up within an hour.
  • We ask that someone arranges for you to have a covid-19 test https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test
  • We will send home a letter to everyone in the bubble

If you have covid-19 symptoms at home

If you have any of the following:
  • Temperature of 37.8°C or above
  • Coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes during the day
  • Loss or change to sense of taste or sense of smell
You must not come to Red2Green. Get someone to arrange for you to have a covid-19 test https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test
  • Please keep in contact with Red2Green and tell us how you are and the results of your test.

If someone in your bubble has a positive Covid-19 test

  • We will contact you and tell you
  • We will be guided by the test and trace service and tell you if you need to stay at home
  • We will do a thorough deep clean

If someone you live with develops symptoms

  • You must self-isolate for 10 days. Please do not come to Red2Green, and please tell us.
  • If after that time you do not have symptoms you may return to Red2Green

Risk Assessments

We have a full risk assessment which you can find here

Cick here to see our risk assesment for cooking

We also undertake risk assessments for each person before they return to Red2Green. Some of our staff also have their own risk assessments.
