What is Aspirations?

It is a 50 week a year life skills programme for anyone over 16 years with autism spectrum conditions.  Working in small groups we promote:
· social contact
· self awareness
· an understanding of others
· strategies to cope with anxiety and anger management
· independent living and employability skills
You are supported to cope with everyday situations such as communications, relationships, work placements, work experience and flexibility.  Some learners, including those with university degrees, are supported to get and maintain a job.

Popular regular activities include:
· Our mini social enterprise, Andy’s Tuck shop, is managed and run by Aspirations.  Learners’ communication and money skills are developed as they carry out market research, budget and sell produce both at Red2Green and to local businesses. This has been paused due to Covid-19.
· Mindfulness sessions are perfect for helping with anger management and anxiety issues
· Learners are involved with our community café in Bottisham. This is currently closed due to Covid-19.

Where is Aspirations?

Most sessions take part at our modern barn conversion in the peaceful countryside setting at Swaffham Bulbeck. Because of our unique location, we frequently go outside to make the most of the Cambridgeshire countryside.
We run some sessions at our garden in Bottisham where you can take part in horticultural and retail activities providing work experience, training and fun.  We also go out and about, such as bowling in Cambridge.

When is Aspirations

Aspirations runs 50 weeks a year, from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm. Some people come for 'term-time', some for 'holidays' and some both.

You are welcome to come for just a day or all week. We also offer half-day options to suit funding and budgets.
