Oddjobbers

Oddjobbers is a new project based at Red2Greenhouse in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire, and gives real work opportunities to adults with learning disabilities.

By doing odd jobs, such as washing cars, mowing lawns, fence repairs, weeding and other garden maintenance, we show that people with special needs can and do have a valuable part to play in their communities.

It is hoped that as Oddjobbers grows, we will be able to take on our learners as members of staff or help them gain real employment elsewhere.

Here are some quotes from people who have used Oddjobbers' services:

"I hadn't realised how grubby my car had got until Chris and his team got their hands on it. It looks really great now - miles better than an automatic car wash."

Andrew Cross, Swaffham Bulbeck

"We asked Oddjobbers to quote for a path we needed laying, and their price was very competitive indeed. The team were courteous and tidy as they worked, and the finished path is a real asset to our outdoor space."

Kate Evans, Warden, Bottisham Village College

Oddjobbers currently covers Bottisham, Swaffham Bulbeck, Burwell and Quy (although jobs further afield are also welcomed). If you would like Oddjobbers to give you a free estimate for some odd jobs that have been nagging you then call Chris Martin, team leader, on 01223 813650 or email us.
